Transformers Decepticon Leader Megatron

Back in 2021, I saw a Netflix series that took me back to my childhood. I was instantly hooked on the animated series called Transformers War for Cyberton Trilogy Siege. It had everything I could recall from the original 1980’s version. When I found out that Hasbro and Threezero presented the DLX Decepticon leader Megatron collectible figure. I had to get it. Once I had the amazing detailed and weathered painted heavy metal frame Transformer figure in my hands, I was inspired to create a piece of artwork from it. I posed the Decepticon leader and took a few photos. I then superimposed it with a devastating background. Using Adobe Photoshop, I separated/pathed the figure from the original photo background then slowly implemented the new battered environment. I included a slight motion blur to the war-torn figure and added smoke emanating from Megatron’s cannon. I created two final versions of this piece. A violet purple light tone and a version closer to the original photos lighting. Please view the process below from original photo to final product.
